This work is a compilation of papers by the author that were published between the years 1992 and 2006 in internationally renown peer reviewed journals. The perspective taken is applying Edmund Husserl's phenomenology to a variety of practical and theoretical concerns in relating with clients. The common concern is understanding psychotherapy theory according to its grounding in lived experience. The topics covered are closely detailed definitions of leading terms such as empathy and intersubjectivity with respect to the original writings of Husserl and other writers. Attachment is also covered through understanding intersubjectivity.
